PHILADELPHIA,PA – April 5, 2013 As part of the expansion of its iconic First Friday open house event, now in its 21st year, Old City has launched First Friday Weekends, a three-day-long celebration of art, shopping, dining and fashion throughout the Old City area of Philadelphia.
The May edition of First Friday Weekends promises to be extra-special, thanks to ZIP 19106, a themed fashion event taking its name from the Old City zip code, focused on zipper-centric fashions and festivities, and featuring clothing and accessories from leading Old City Boutiques.
At 4 PM, a fashion show of material incorporating zippers in many original ways, modeled by Philadelphia University students and staff from Old City Boutiques, will kick off the weekend at Snyderman-Works Galleries, 303 Cherry Street. Models will stroll through the event crowd, enabling curious onlookers to learn more about each look and its home boutique.
